Passports with a Purpose
Here at Wandering Educators, we are committed to supporting humanitarian efforts around the world. We're very pleased to participate in a charity raffle called Passports with Purpose - a raffle with incredible travel gifts, to aid Heifer International. Put together by some really committed fellow travel bloggers, Debbie, Pam, Beth, and Michelle, so many people and organizations in the world of travel have donated prizes.

One of the most important things that we can do as global citizens is to be aware of people and cultures around the world. When we travel, we can try to live like - and listen to - the locals. We can spend money in responsible ways, and try to give back to communities we visit (and where we live).
Just a note for all our Wandering Educator friends who have a special interest in all things Irish. Irish Fireside starts its giveaway every day in December 2008. Stop by the website, click the FREE STUFF button and sign up for your chance at a variety of goodies.
A new winner will be draw every day. While you're visiting the Fireside, be sure to check out the e-newsletter, podcasts and blog.
