Yesterday I returned from a 40-day road trip around the US, and although that span may appear to have Biblical proportions, it simply wasn’t long enough.
Late last year, we profiled a very important social documentary organization, SalaamGarage. In the interview, SalaamGarage Founder Amanda Koster noted that she "created SalaamGarage based on these observations and over a decade of experience as a traveler, backpacker, documentary photographer, producer, media maker, etc., and teacher.
Ontario, in eastern Canada, is a musical melting pot when it comes to traditional music, taking influences from settlers from England, Scotland, Ireland, Sweden, Hungary, and Germany, to name but a few, along with music from the First Peoples who lived in the area before all those folk came along. It’s also a musical crossroads within Canada, for the country sounds of the plains to the west, Quebecois nearby, and Cape Breton to the east.
Greek Food!! What is there not to love? I have to share with you one of my very favorite food sites on the internet. Greek Food Recipes and Reflections is an excellent resource for Greek recipes (they always turn out!), culture, and history. It is published by our very own Greek Food Editor , Sam Sotiropoulos.
